Open ScoreCam

Feature overview

ScoreCam analyzes compatible ring and kill-zone targets, supports multi-bull cards and provides manual corrections. Ring cards can include totals, X counts, group size and MOA. Challenge cards use their own zone values and miss rules.

Prepare a usable photo

  1. Lay the target flat in even light. Avoid glare, hard shadows and a steep camera angle.
  2. Include the whole scoring area and all calibration squares. Keep the reference line and target QR code visible when present.
  3. Take a sharp photo with enough detail to distinguish pellet holes from printed artwork.
  4. For a competition, start from that match or challenge’s scoring button rather than a general ScoreCam session.

Analyze and review a card

  1. Upload your photo. Use QR identification if available, or select the exact preset or saved target manually.
  2. Confirm caliber, shooting distance and the shot count where requested.
  3. Check calibration before trusting any group measurement. If markers are not found, retake the photo or use the available manual calibration controls.
  4. Inspect the detected hits. Zoom in, remove false hits, add missed holes and move incorrect markers.
  5. Review totals and group measurements, then save while signed in. Use the separate Submit to match or challenge submission action for competitions, and confirm your result on its leaderboard.

Understand the result

  • On ring targets, off-ring paper hits score zero but still contribute to group measurements.
  • Challenge zones award their value once per zone, regardless of multiple hits inside it. Misses are derived from the selected shot count and the target’s miss value.
  • SUB-MOA 100 uses the average MOA of five groups, not ring points; a lower result is better.
  • Challenge score images include the shooter, date, points earned, points lost and total. Use the PNG option to download the annotated result.
  • Overlapping holes, dark artwork and poor photos can mislead detection. Always review automated results; match directors can correct authorized competition results.
